The SR160B is easy to own, operate and maintain. It’s light (5,645 pounds), short (just over six-feet tall at the top of the ROPS), narrow (at five-feet width) and compact for easy transportation and access to tight jobsites — all while retaining trademark CASE stability and low total cost of ownership. Visibility and Comfort CASE skid steers feature industry-leading visibility, and the SR160B offers a wide and comfortable cab for all-day performance. Optimal Control The CASE SR160B comes standard with mechanical controls and optional hand-and-foot controls for owners/operators who prefer that configuration. Productivity and Performance The SR160B offers 1,600-pounds of rated operating capacity (1,700 pounds with optional counterweights), 60 horsepower and auxiliary hydraulics for basic attachment use. Ease of Ownership All critical checks and service points are grouped at the rear of the machine for easy access. The SR160B features a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards — a good solution for the machine size, typical application, engine layout and total cost of the machine. Tier 4 Final EXTERNAL CEGR WITH DOC & DPF Why this solution: The SR160B offers a low cost of entry to the skid steer market while still providing the power and performance associated with CASE B Series. Using Tier 4 Final technology that’s more affordable, this solution helps keep the unit price down. How it works: With Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR), exhaust gases are cooled, blended with fresh air and then returned to the cylinder. This lowers combustion temperatures and dramatically reduces emissions, but produces more particulate matter. Then the diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) oxidizes the machine’s exhaust to create heat and further manage emissions while the diesel particulate filter (DPF) captures excess particulate matter and then burns it off through a combustion process known as “regeneration,” which helps maximize the life of the filter. What this means to you: This solution requires no new additive and provides a lower upfront machine cost, but as with all DPF systems, the filter requires replacement over time, which impacts total cost of ownership. DPF regeneration also requires additional fuel burn.
